-Game Previews-

For many. Monday is a most depressing day. The weekend is over, and the monotony of school or work begins again. For fantasy players Monday is a day of hope. A day of Miracles.  On tap for the season opening Monday Night Football game(s), we get a double header. First, the Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Washington Redskins. No Le’Veon Bell, no Martavis Bryant, no Markus Wheaton. The Steelers offense is looking thin. Antonio Brown and Ben Roethlisberger will need to be on top of their game to come out on top.

Even with the Skins bolstering their defense this offseason with the addition of Josh Norman. I don’t expect much of a change. Two above average offenses taking on two below average defenses. This game should be a high scoring affair. I have the Steelers taking the W. Score line-  26–20

For the late game. The New, LA Rams are traveling to San Francisco to take on the 49ners. Possibly the two most uninspiring teams this offseason are set to meet. A better Defense , more explosive offensive weapons. The Rams should have little trouble dispatching their new state rivals. Score line- 24–17

-Fantasy Outlook-

The Good: Todd Gurley vs the 49ners

Let’s do some simple math. Take the #5 RB from 2015, add the 31st worst rushing defense from 2015. What do you get? The Answer is a must start RB1. If that isn’t enough, take into account that Case Keenum is the Ram’s Starting QB. Expect them to lean on the run game heavily this season.

The Good: Jordan Reed vs the Steelers

With Gronk already listed as out. Reed jumps to the number 1 ranked TE for week one by the FLAFFL Brass. The size and speed combination, creates matchup nightmares. Expect Reed to be a Target monster in every sense of the meaning. He has a great chance to score week to week as long as he can stay healthy.

The Bad: Torrey Smith vs the Rams

Always been a boom or bust type player. He can produce a line of 2–85–1 Just as easily as producing a goose egg. Trusting Smith as anything more than a DFS flier is a mistake. I’m not trying to hate on Smith. The truth is, I hate that entire offense.

The Bad: Matt Jones vs the Steelers

Fresh off his Shoulder injury and coming into the game as Questionable. I’m looking elsewhere for my RB needs. Look for the Skins to be throwing the ball often, chasing the lead. Jones is a risky Flex option this week.

The Ugly: Blaine Gabbert vs the Rams

In my 32 team fantasy league, Gabbert is still on the waivers. That shouldtell you everything you need to know. A below average talent with below average receiving options around him. He should not be on your streamer raider for week 1.

The Ugly: Sammie Coates vs the Redskins

There has been a lot of hype this offseason surrounding Sammie Coastes with Martavis Bryant’s sustention. The 2015 3rd rounder looked impressive in the postseason last year. He should get a chance to start opposite Antonio brownthis Monday night. I wont be trusting him in anything but the deepest of leagues. Brown, Rodgers and Williams will command the bulk of the targets.
